When I was younger, I dreamt of becoming an architect. I remember driving downtown with my dad and being in awe of Philadelphia’s magnificent skyscrapers as we approached the city and they became larger into view. In high school I was confronted with my fundamental lack of drawing skills, and I ended up studying environmental science and chemistry in college. During these same high school years, I discovered that making beautiful photographs of beautiful architecture is incredibly rewarding, and importantly, compatible with my skill set. During “senior project” –– the last two months before graduation –– I met with some of my favorite photographers in the industry, assisted on professional shoots and started building my own portfolio with the help of some local architects and builders who granted me location access. As I completed my project that June, two of the architects I worked with became by first two clients, and I have been at this ever since.

I graduated from George Washington University with a Masters degree in Environmental and Green Chemistry in 2020. Some of my hobbies include playing hockey at the Capitals' practice rink (on occasion), loudly playing my Jazzmaster, and hand tool woodworking in my tiny apartment woodshop. I obsessively listen to "indie rock" and jazz (in fact, the music-listening occurs during most of the above activities) and sometimes photograph concerts for Impose Magazine. During college, I co-hosted the "best show in the history of internet-only college radio," Fun Times in Babylon.
